Tamara Strunk

Board Member

Tamara is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She majored in Nursing and minored in Psychology. After graduation she and her family moved to Indianapolis where she began her nursing career. Tamara has worked in many fields of nursing including: critical and cardiovascular care, emergency medicine, oncology, hospice, endoscopy, and orthopedics. After several years of working directly with patients, she moved into leadership roles at Hancock Regional Hospital. Tamara has worked as a Director, Risk Manager, Assistant Vice President and is currently the Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President of Quality, Risk, and Regulatory Compliance. She has lived in Hancock County for the past 30 years and currently resides in New Palestine. She has 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Between work and family, she stays busy but in spare time loves to read, shop, and travel. Tamara is an advocate for women and equal rights. She is passionate about nursing and sits on several Nursing Advisory Boards and nursing leadership committees at the local, regional, and national level.
